At Saltwater Performing Arts, our mission is to enrich our community through inspiring performances and meaningful arts education. We provide a creative, welcoming space where kids, teens, families, and audiences of all ages can learn, grow, and connect through the power of live theatre. Our programs build confidence, self-expression, and a lasting love for the arts—while helping keep our local arts scene vibrant and alive.
For over a decade, we’ve produced award-winning theatre on a lean, carefully managed budget—where every show funds the next, and passion drives it all. But this season, a mix of unexpected expenses and rising industry costs has brought new challenges.
The savings we once relied on to navigate the ups and downs of the arts world were depleted during the pandemic—a necessary choice to keep going when so many others had to stop. Since then, sharply increased licensing fees and prolonged facility renovations, and growing rent costs have made it difficult to fully regain our financial footing even as our programs and offerings continue to grow.
Our income naturally fluctuates with ticket sales and class registrations, which can leave occasional shortfalls between revenue cycles. To ensure we can meet critical expenses like rent during these quieter periods—and rebuild the reserves that once gave us flexibility—we’re seeking steady financial support. Keeping our pricing accessible for families is at the heart of what we do, and to do that, we rely on generous partners like you. As we prepare for Season 12, upfront costs like licensing fees must also be secured in advance to bring the shows you love to life. At this moment, we are a critical juncture. With your help, we’re confident our growing programs and this incredible community will carry us through the year ahead.
